About PhasorPrep

PhasorPrep is a study resource for the NCEES PE Electrical and Computer: Power exam. It is built and run by one person, a power engineer at an electric utility who works on generation, substations and protection.

Why it exists

Most of the exam is the work a utility engineer does every week: per-unit studies, fault currents, protection, transformers, machines. Good practice material for it is expensive, and many solutions skip the steps where people actually go wrong. PhasorPrep aims to show every step, with units, for every question.

How questions are made

  • Every question is original. None is recalled from an exam or copied from a book.
  • Every numeric answer is recomputed by a small script, and the question is not published until they agree.
  • The author reads every question and solution before it is published.
  • Codes and standards are cited by name, edition and section. Their text and tables are not reproduced.

What it is not

PhasorPrep is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NCEES. Its author does not claim to hold a professional engineering license, and it does not promise a passing result.

Who runs it

PhasorPrep is a product of tobulab, a small software studio in Thailand. Questions, corrections and refund requests go to support@phasorprep.com.
